Mera Peak (6416m) is highest trekking peak in Nepal which lies in the famous Everest trekking region. Day 1-Kathmandu.(1334m.)- Upon your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, a High Hike representative welcomes you and helps to transfer hotel. Evening will be for welcome dinner with our representative. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2-Kathmandu Sightseeing.(1334m.)- A guided half day Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing is dedicated to explore some of the UNESCO World Heritage Listed sites which includes Kathmandu Durbar square, Swoyambhunath ,also known as “Monkey Temple”, Pashupatinath –temple of Lord Shiva and Bouddhanath; a Buddhist place. After sightseeing evening will be for trip briefing and preparation of things per need.

Day 3 Lukla(2810m.): Take 40 minutes flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. Reach Lukla enjoy left free time  by visiting local areas with exploring living style of Sherpa peoples. Overnight.

Day 4-Chutanga.(3430m.)- The trail from Lukla to Chutanga is easy trekking through dense rhododendron and pine forest. Reach Chutunga and set camp for overnight.

Day 5-Chhatre Danda.(4000m.): From Chutunga the we take steep up trail and cross the stunning Kalo Himal Range in Nau Lekh range which is the border for Khumbu and Hinku Valley. We then pass a small pass Zartwa Og, then descends down to reach Thuli Kharka. We stay overnight at tented camp in Thuli Kharka.

Day 6-Mausum Kharka.(3430m.)-  The trail first descent down crossing Hinku valley with viewing south face of Mera. Then we trek through rhododendron and pine forest to get Mausam Kharka. Reach Mausam Kharka set camp for overnight.

Day 7-Thagnag.(4360m.)- Follow the west bank of Hinku Drangka, pass several Kharkas and reach at Gondishung (4,350m). Gondishung is a summer settlement of Tagnag and have 200 years old Gompa. From there with one more walk trek we reach to Thagnag where we set our today’s camp. Overnight.Day 8- Acclimatization day:  As the altitude rise up this day is for rest. On this day we take walk around Thangnag and explore the stunning surroundings. Peak 43 , Sabai Tsho; a glacial lake will the highlight this day. Overnight at camp.

Day 9-Khare.(5000m.)- A day for gentle walk. Enjoying beautiful scenery and acclimatizing our trail moves forward crosses several beautiful streams and with some ups and downs we reach a place called Khare; stopping spot for this day. Overnight at Khare.

Day 10-Rest Day/ Ice Climbing near Khare- An acclimatization day. We can do some ice climbing practices this day or can also hike up to Mera La for wonderful views. Enjoy your day. Overnight in tented camp.

 Day 11-Mera High Camp.(5800m.)- The trail from Khare to Mera High Camp is steep up. It is quite hard walking day. Upon arriving Mera Base Camp, set camp. In free time enjoy magnificent views of Makalu, the Mt. Everest, Nuptse, High camp view of Cho oyu and Kanchenjunga. Overnight in tented camp.

Day 12-Summit Mera (6,476m.) and descend to Khare (5,025m.)- The exciting day of the trip when we summit Mera Peak. This day we start early morning around 2-3 am. It takes 4-6 hours to reach Mera Top. Upon our arrival in summit we can enjoy the mesmerizing views of Mt. Everest (8,848m), Cho-Oyu (8,210m), Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,463m), Kangchenjunga (8,586m),Barunste (7,129m.), Chamlang (7,319m.) and Nau Lekh (6,360m.). Spend some time by clicking wonderful views. After then descend back to High Camp and then to Khare for overnight. 

Day 13-A spare Summit attempt day-One extra day we use to keep as a spare day, set aside in case we have to postpone the attempt on the peak because of bad weather or because some of the group have not yet acclimatized well enough to make the ascent. If everything gone smooth and you succeed to climb at the summit day you can use this day for another Ice climbing day or spent one more night at the village on the way back to Lukla.

Day 14-Gothey.(3600m.)- We take an descent trail from Khare to Gothey. We can enjoy the scenic Himalayas view on the way to Gothey. Reach Gothey, set camp and stay overnight there.

Day 15-Tuli Kharka.(4250m.)- After early breakfast, today we head towards to Tuli Khola through forest on the west side of Hinku Valley. Upon we reach Tuli Khola we our camp for today. Overnight.

Day 16-Lukla.(2810m.)- We first ascend up to Zatrwa La and from there we descend all the way down to Lukla. Evening will be for dinner with our climbing team. Overnight at teahouse.

Day 17-Kathmandu.(1334m.)- From Lukla we take our flight in morning to get back Kathmandu. Upon your arrival in Kathmandu your guide help you to get to your hotel. In Kathmandu take rest for some time then buy some gifts for friends and family. In evening join farewell dinner with High Hike Team. Overnight at hotel.

Day 18-Departure:  A High Hike representative will help you to transfer to Tribuvan International Airport to catch returning flight. We hope to see you again in Nepal. Namaste!
