Pisang Peak (6,091m) Climbing trip is an easy peak climbing in Nepal which combines trekking in Annapurna Region. Pisang Peak Expedition is rated as easy climbing peak in Nepal yet is a technical trekking peak. Amazing Pisang Peak is located just famous Manag Valley.
It was a German Expedition team who summited Pisang Peak first back in 1995. Pisang Peak climbing is not just a peak climbing in Nepal, this amazing trip in Annapurna includes the challenging Thorang-La pass, Muktinath; a pilgrimage site held in great respect by both Hindus and Buddhists, Kagbeni; a gateway to Upper Mustang and more Pokhara of the famous tourist destination of Nepal.
The best time for Pisang Peak Climbing are Autumn (October- November) and Spring (April- May).
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1335 meters above sea level)
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing (1335 meters)
Day 3: Kathmandu to Beshisahar( 850m.)
Day 4: Besisahar to Bahundanda (1,310m. /5-6 hrs trek)
Day 6:Chamje to Dharapani (1950m/5-6 hours)
Day 7: Dharapani to Chame (2,630m. /5-6 hours)
Day 8: Chame to Upper Pisang (3,700m./5-6 hours)
Day 9: Acclimatization Day
Day 10: Upper Pisang to Pisang Peak Base Camp (4,380 m. /3-4 hours)
Day 11: Pisang Peak Base Camp to High Camp (5,400m. / 3-4 hours)
Day 12: Summit Pisang Peak and trek back to Base Camp (6,091m. /7-9 hours)
Day 13: Base Camp to Manag Valley (3,450m. /5-6 hours)
Day 14: Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m. / 3-4 hours)
Day 15: Yak Kharka to Throng Pedi (4,400m. / 3-4 hours)
Day 16: Phedi to the Thorung-La Pass and to Muktinath (Up to 5416 m. /8½ hours)
Day 17: Muktinath to Kagbeni (3550 m. /3½ hours)
Day 18: Kagbeni to Jomsom (2,800m. /3-4 hours)
Day 19: Fly to Pokhara (820m. / 25 minutes)
Day 20: Drive back to Kathmandu (1,334m. / 6 hours)
Day 21: Fly back home
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1335 meters above sea level): Upon your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, a High Hike representative will be there for your warm welcome and help you to transfer to the hotel. Take rest and get refreshed. In evening join welcome dinner organize by High Hike Team. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing (1335 meters):A half-day guided tour around Kathmandu city's historical and cultural landmarks. Visit Bouddhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple, the most important sites of Buddhism and Hinduism in Nepal.Get lost in Kathmandu's old city bazaars, public squares, and former royal palaces at Durbar Square. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Kathmandu to Beshisahar( 850m.): Set off towards Besi Sahar (gateway to the Annapurna Circuit) by chartered vehicle from Kathmandu. It takes approx. 8 hours to reach Besisahar. Stay overnight in Teahouse at Besisahar.
Day 4: Besisahar to Bahundanda (1,310m. /5-6 hrs trek): A walk through Besi Sahar's bazaar leads to a climb up a series of rocky steps. The trail with ups and downs makes its way Sera then some minutes’ walk take us to Bulbule.From Bhulbule our trail head towards Ngadi Village where we will take our lunch. After then we continue our walk to Bahundanda. Overnight at Bahundanda.
Day 5: Bahundanda to Chamje (1410 meters/7 hrs trek): We take steep up trail where we pass several small streams and come across some beautiful villages of Kanjgaon and Ghermu Phant and reach Jagat for lunch. After lunch one and half hour more trek take us to Chamje. Stay overnight at Chamje.
Day 6:Chamje to Dharapani (1950m/5-6 hours): - Start walking. Today we first cross a suspension bridge of Marsyandi river then tale a steep up trail to Tal. Then our trail follows the upstream up to the Dharapani, which is through the rocky trails and crossing few suspension bridges and small teashops we reach Dharapani. Overnight in Dharapani.
Day 7: Dharapani to Chame (2,630m. /5-6 hours): From Dharapani, we first pass Bagarachap; a village with typical Tibetan architecture then we slowly walk to Danaque. Then we pass two beautiful villages Latamanag and Koto before reaching Chame. We can enjoy astonishing views of majestic Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal from Chame. Overnight.
Day 8: Chame to Upper Pisang (3,700m./5-6 hours): Take breakfast and get ready for trekking. Today we first pass Bhartang, village of apple garden then continue our walk to Dhukure Pokhari where we take our lunch. Then we take descent trail and trek to Upper Pisang. Overnight at Upper Pisang.
Day 9: Acclimatization Day: As the altitude rise up this day is for rest. On this day we walk around Pisang and explore the stunning surroundings with magnificent views of all the Annapurnas, Gangapurna and Tilicho. Overnight.
Day 10: Upper Pisang to Pisang Peak Base Camp (4,380 m. /3-4 hours): The trail from Upper Pisang goes steep up and passes Kharka (4,380m.) before reaching Pisang Base Camp. Reach base camp and set the tents for overnight.
Day 11: Pisang Peak Base Camp to High Camp (5,400m. / 3-4 hours): Following south west ridge od Pisang today we hike up to High Camp (5,400m.). We can find snow in High camp from end of November to end of March. Set tent and stay overnight at High Camp.
Day 12: Summit Pisang Peak and trek back to Base Camp (6,091m. /7-9 hours): The trail from High Camp to summit is quite steep and technical so with the help of guide we carefully go up to summit. We will enjoy some time on the top then we descend down to Base Camp. Overnight at Base Camp.
Day 13: Base Camp to Manag Valley (3,450m. /5-6 hours): After breakfast, we set off to Manang Valley; a valley which has rich customs & tradition. With five to six hours walk we reach Manang. Overnight in Manang.
Day 14: Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m. / 3-4 hours): From Manag, we take one hour steep up trail to Tenki Manang where we get the wonderful views of mountains including Annapurna, Gangapurna and Tilicho peak. After then we trek to Yak Kharka for overnight.
Day 15: Yak Kharka to Throng Pedi (4,400m. / 3-4 hours): After breakfast, today we trek to Thorong Phedi- small yet a wonderful settlement. Stay overnight in Thorng Phedi.
Day 16: Phedi to the Thorung-La Pass and to Muktinath (Up to 5416 m. /8½ hours): This day we start early morning aiming to cross the pass mid-day. The trail goes steeply up and takes 4-6 hours to reach there. The pass is a challenging one but the adventure we gaining and the rewards of stunning mountains views makes the pass worthwhile. We then descent down to Muktinath. Muktinath, a pilgrimage site held in great respect by both Hindus and Buddhists. Overnight at Muktinath.
Day 17: Muktinath to Kagbeni (3550 m. /3½ hours): This day we start late morning. From Muktinath we first trek down to village of Jharkot. Then again descend down to Kagbeni for overnight. Overnight.
Day 18: Kagbeni to Jomsom (2,800m. /3-4 hours): We will trek from Kagbeni to Jomsom, headquarter of Mustang which is inhabitant of Thakali people with their rich culture and tradition. Overnight at Jomsom.
Day 19: Fly to Pokhara (820m. / 25 minutes): With early morning scenic flight we fly to Pokhara. As Pokhara is one best tourist destination of Nepal, enjoy exploring around Pokhara. Overnight at hotel.
Day 20: Drive back to Kathmandu (1,334m. / 6 hours): Travel back to Kathmandu overland to enjoy the green hills and small settlements along the way or take 30 minutes spectacular flight back to Kathmandu. In free time take rest and in evening do some last minute shopping before joining farewell dinner with High Hike Team. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 21: Fly back home: Collecting all wonderful memories in Nepal, today is day to fly back home. A High Hike representative will accompany you to Tribhuvan International Airport to catch your returning flight. We hope to see you again in Nepal. Namaste!
